The artist I chose is Domen Lombergar. He defines his style as expressionistic, hyperrealistic and/or surrealistic. The computer screen is his canvas and his tablet is his brush. Domen is adept with color, often carefully restrained, and embeds text in his images.
The piece I selected is one of his Fantasy art. Fantasy art is usually described as depictions of ancient myths and legends, as well as representations of modern day fantasy in the form of divine interventions and other magical or supernatural forces. However, the works of Domen Lombergar are not really inspired by the typical aspects of science fiction. He has only to probe into his unlimited imagination to find a concept, which he can cultivate and eventually set free upon his own personal canvas. I like the way this looks like an uprooted tree. It is titled "Mother Nature One".

ReplyDeletearound 3:05 you'll see a man with roots coming out of his fingers! the music may be a little intense, but i thought the artwork was interesting. also, my buddy has a similar image tattooed on his back. it's weird i have been seeing a lot of hand-tree-roots images... i wonder why?
I interpret this as a sign of growth.
